Department of Nursing
The Department of
Nursing at Charter Oak Health Center
Inc. dedicates themselves to the health
and well-being of the community they
serve by educating the patients in
beneficial health practices and disease
prevention. The department of nursing
consists of registered nurses, as well
as medical assistants, and care is
provided in the pediatric,
obstetrics/gynecology, and internal
medicine departments. The nursing staff
identifies common health problems in the
community while treating patients, and
work to create interventions to correct
the health and safety issues they
discover. The nursing staff educates
patients on an individual basis by
utilizing up to date research and
implementing strategies that ensure the
most effective outcome. Nurses are
focused on the prevention of illness,
injury or disability, the promotion of
health, and maintenance of the health
for this population. They communicate
the health and illness experiences of
diverse, often vulnerable, individuals
and families in the population to health
providers and advocate for members of
the community to voice their needs and
concerns. At Charter Oak Health Center
we provide the greatest quality care to
all our patients we serve in the
community and treat each individual with
respect and equality.
